The Brutal Truth Part II

After a night full of wild, lustful sex, we were awakened in the early a.m., by cops, armed with a search warrant.

Wrapped in only a sheet, when they barged in, I was terrified, and assumed they were looking for drugs.  I practically held my breath, while they searched, praying they wouldn’t find evidence of the couple of joints we had smoked earlier.

Well, it turned out, they weren’t looking for drugs, nor did they find any.  The were actually looking for stolen cigarettes, which Teddy didn’t have, and wasn’t a part of.

The night would prove to have serious repercussions, though, when my exploits ended up coffee shop gossip, the next day, and my Dad found out.

During the time that this happened, Eddie and I lived with my parents, and he was on a two week training exercise.  Embarrassed, and ashamed, by my exploits, I decided to just move out, and avoid dealing with the situation.

When Eddie got back to town, and realized what had happened, he begged me begged to come back to him.

We went out  of town, and spent one more night together.  When
it was over, we both knew our relationship was too, and went our separate ways.

My relationship with Teddy would prove to be short lived, when he became the first man to ever hit me, and Anthony, divorced, and a father, by now, came back into my life.

(The only pic of us together, taken at a Halloween party)

A pot farmer, and distributor, Anthony introduced me to his criminal life, which I found both exciting, and intriguing.  We had a whirlwind romance, and a lot of good times together, until he got a case of the “grass is greener on the other side”, and left me, for another woman.

Heartbroken, I filled my time with friends, and lovers, and moved to Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

It was there that I met Dennis, and Rene, at a tattoo shop
near my home, where I had previously gotten work done.

First, let me tell you about Dennis:

The first time I laid eyes on him, he was sitting on a couch, with his long, dark hair slicked back, like some made man, with a Rottweiler at his feet.  He was the definition of sexy, and much older than any guy I’d ever been involved with.

It was lust at first site, and I had to have him.

And, I did, for a little while.

Hold that thought, though, while I also tell you about Rene.

Remember that Offspring song, “Self Esteem”?  Well, it always reminds me of her, along with every angry song off of Alanis’s “Jagged Little Pill”, and lastly, “Heaven Help”, by Lenny Kravitz.

She was beautiful, very petite, and a spitfire, if there ever was one.  Nothing, and no one was off limits to her, and her excitement, and sexual appetite was insatiable.

I was immediately intrigued, and flattered when she wanted me.

And so, at the same time, yet separately, I carried on these 2 relationships, with each knowing about the other.
With Dennis, I was fascinated by his beauty, multiple prison tattoos acquired at Joliet, and tales of criminal activity, as a biker.
He had the whole FTW, 13 ½ thing going on, and even had fuck you tattooed on the inside of his lip.  Yet, at the same time, he was very straight laced, and serious about abiding by the law, since he was still on parole.

Though we were together only briefly, before he went back to Chicago, it was memorable.
We saw the great Tom Petty perform at the University of Alabama, and he kept my ‘81 Camaro, nicknamed “The Monster”, running.

(That's it on the right.)

 And, as for Rene…

Well, that story has barely began.
After talking to her one day, I realized that I had met her, and her Dad, a year before, through Anthony.
Small world, I thought, considering this was 65 miles from his hometown.

 But anyway…

Rene was one of those people who would just say anything that was on her mind, no matter how inappropriate, to anyone, and everyone wanted her. She was also very troubled, baring a long scar from a self inflicted gunshot to the stomach (she was aiming for her chest), as a souvenir from an ill fared previous relationship. After becoming an somewhat of an item, I took her back to my stomping grounds back home, to show her off.  My first stop was by my friend Andrew’s house.

Now, I must admit, even then, I had a thing for this guy.  He looked like Jesus Christ,

and was simply beautiful.   Unfortunately, at that time, he developed a thing for Rene, despite the fact that I introduced her as my girlfriend.

About a month latter, after I couldn’t take her wild ways anymore, I kicked her out of my apartment, and she moved in with Andrew.  By then, he had moved back in with his parents.

Shortly after, she and I started talking again, and made plans to go out.
I came to town one weekend, and picked her up,

and Andrew’s friendly demeanor towards me had totally changed.  He was friggin’ jealous!

Later that night, he would make a huge, pathetic scene, over at a mutual friends house, where there was about 12 other folks hanging out.  They broke up, over me, that night, and he threw her stuff in the yard.  The next day, she left on a bus, and I haven’t seen her since.

(Attention:  If you know this Rene Jones, please, contact me immediately!)

After that, he and I didn’t speak for awhile, until one day, he needed my “help”, and I graciously obliged him.  Soon after, we would become a couple, and talks of marriage even started.

I was happy, and very much in love.  My only problem was that he was lying to his parents about my name, because of Rene.
You see, one night, over dinner, with him, and his parents, she declared she was bisexual, and in fact in love with me, as well.
After that, they hated her, and me too, despite the fact that they’d never actually met me.
I think the weirdest thing is once when his Mom was dissing on me, to my face, without realizing it.

During the time that we were together, we hung out a one guy’s house in particular, who was flamboyantly gay, and way to open about his drug use.

It didn’t take me long to decide I didn’t like the guy, so I told Andrew I wasn’t going back.  He said he wasn’t going to either, but he did, and that would prove to be a bad day for him, and our relationship.

The cops raided the dudes apartment, with assault rifles, and Andrew, and 4 other friends were there.

The first thing out of their mouths was “where’s your girlfriend”, and aimed at Andrew.  I don’t know, honestly, what he said, but they all went to jail.  I was standing in a friends yard, down the road, when the cops drove by.

Not knowing how bad the charges were, and thinking I was doing Andrew a favor by notifying his parent’s, I slipped and said my real name, when his Mom asked who it was on the phone, and she figured it all out.
After that, the relationship fast went downhill, and I didn’t help matters.

One night, I royally screwed everything up, by pity fucking Anthony, who had split with his wife, and Andrew knew it, though I denied it.
Needless to say, we broke up, and I moved on.
Not long after, I became an accessory to 6 counts of forgery in the 2nd degree, at 19 years old, and spent a weekend in jail, before my folks could cough up $15,000 bail.

I hadn’t actually done the deed, but I knew all the parties involved,
and was driving when it happened, stupidly thinking nothing could happen to me for that.
Turns out, it can, and there is no such thing as accessory- they charge you with forgery just like you were the one who wrote the check.  It was really fucked up.

Luckily, I got youthful offender, on the condition that I do a years’ probation, and stay out of trouble.
